Policies and Standards in HRM Education
The official government standards for Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management are contained in CMO No. 30, series of 2006 of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). This CMO (CHED Memorandum Order) also contained the standards for three other degrees, and its title is appropriately, "POLICIES AND STANDARDS FOR BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN TOURISM MANAGEMENT(BSTM) / BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT (BSHM)/ BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN HOTEL AND RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT (BSHRM)/ BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN TRAVEL MANAGEMENT (BSTrM)". The CMO was signed on June 28, 2006, and was to take effect during the first semester of school year 2007-2008.
